Our Goal

The goal of the Wray Recreation Department’s Youth Programs are to provide instruction, development, and personal growth in a fun and safe environment. We strive to teach kids the skills needed to succeed while developing an appreciation for their particular activity. 

Our Objective

Our objective is to create an environment where all kids can learn and grow as well as develop life-long skills and sportsmanship that will be utilized during their youth and beyond.

Current Activities

Youth City league basketball

REGISTRATION is open and the DEADLINE has been EXTENDED until Friday, October 23 for both City League and Little Hoopsters. In order to get shirts in time, this deadline is final. No registrations will be taken after this date. 

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Recreation Department has some updates for sports. Please maintain 6ft. social distancing unless sitting with immediate family. All equipment will be sanitized on a regular basis. Self-monitoring is essential. If you are not feeling well or running a temp above 100, please stay home.


  • Starts: October 26, 2020
  • Ends: December 12, 2020 (no practices/games Nov. 23-27, 2020)
  • Who: Grades 3/4 & 5/6
  • Cost: $25 (Includes t-shirt)

Youth little hoopsters basketball

  • Starts: January 9, 2021
  • Ends: February 13, 2021
  • Who: Grades K-2
  • Cost: $25 (includes t-shirt)
  • Volunteer coaches are needed. Registration is at the same time as City League Basketball.
