October 21, 2018, 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM @ Wray Museum
Travel back in time to the early 1900s for a look at the lifestyle of the pioneers. Local craftsmen pay tribute to the life skills of the reliant homesteader. Learn about period firearms, roundups on the open range, food preservation, quilting, natural medicinal remedies, and much more. There will also be several hands-on activities for children. Guided tours start every ten minutes and last about 1 hour. The last tour will start at 2:30 PM. While waiting to go on the tour, sample a delightful array of old fashioned fall desserts including pies, cobblers, and cookies, while enjoying a cup of cider or hot chocolate. The program is sponsored by the East Yuma County Historical Society. For more information call the Wray Museum at 970-332-5063.
